Brent van de Walle qualifies for the 125cc World Championship in Heerde

Brent van de Walle of the De Baets MX team has qualified for the 125cc world championship in Heerde last weekend. In the motos he managed to finish thirty-fourth and thirty-sixth.

In free practice, the circuit was still fast, but this would change considerably later in the day due to rainfall. In the time practice, Brent did several fast laps and eventually ended up with an eighteenth time. This was enough to qualify for the two motos on Sunday.

In the first moto, Brent got off to a bad start. The level was high but Brent had a positive race and managed to finish thirty-fourth.

The second moto started with a setback as Brent was involved in a crash at the start. Because another rider’s bike was on top of his, it took a long time before he could continue in the race. During the race he worked his way back to the group in front of him but unfortunately he crashed and finished thirty-sixth.
