The third stage of the Supermoto World Championship took place in Busca, the Gp of Piemonte , with a perfect weekend Marc Schmidt regained the red plate as world championship leader.
The German rider of Team L30 Racing TM Moto was immediately the fastest right from the first free practices, in qualifying he set the best overall time, which was also confirmed in the flying lap of the Super Pole, Mitja Krasniqi closed his tests with the 14th time followed by teammate Erik Provaznik 15th, Nicky Reimer 18th
The first race which, as usual, takes place on Saturday, Schmidt was caught at the start when the red light went out, losing a position, but Marc took the lead when braking the long straight. During the first laps the rain appeared on the Busca track and the drivers who had all mounted slick tires found themselves having to drive with caution. In this phase the German driver allowed himself to be overtaken by an opponent to avoid making mistakes. Fortunately the rain lasted a few minutes and with the track drying out Schmidt resumed his pace, returning to the lead and going on to win. Good performance by Krasniqi who finished 11th and Provaznik 14th, Nicky Reimer 17th
The second race of the weekend the Fast Race at the start Schmidt is once again surprised at the start but at the second corner he already takes the lead, Marc with an incredible pace was able to take off from the first laps going on to win alone. Mitja Krasniqi 13th and Erik Provaznik 15th, Nicky Reimer 17th
The super final once again saw a great performance from the world champion Marc Schmidt, in this third and final heat to take the lead of the race he had to stay behind an opponent for a lap and then overtake him at the entrance to the sky section and once he took the lead he flew towards the finish line without anyone being able to worry him. Mitja Krasniqi 13th and Erik Provaznik 15th, Nicky Reimer 16th
Marc Schmidt takes home the GP victory and the red plate as leader of the classification with a lead of 9 points. Next meeting for the L30 Racing TM Moto Team on 20-21 July for the fourth round of the World Championship in Poland.
