Benoit Paturel of the De Baets MX team has scored another top ten moto finish at the penultimate round of the World Championship MXGP in Maggiora, Italy. Paturel was riding a really strong opening moto and managed to finish in eighth position. In the second moto he was struggling to find his rhythm and finished in fifteenth position.
On Saturday morning there was a lot of rain and due to this the track was really muddy and slippery in the practice sessions. During the day things started to go better for Paturel and he managed to finish in thirteenth position in the qualifying heat.
Paturel took a really good start in the first moto and came out of the first lap in eighth position. After a few laps he worked himself up into seventh position. He was riding in this position till the closing stages of the race but unfortunately he got passed and finished the race in eighth place.
In the second moto he took a not so good start and was struggling to find his rhythm. Due to this he had to be satisfied with fifteenth position.
With an 8-15 in the motos he finished in eleventh position overall. This is his position in the championship as well. This weekend the final round of the championship will be held in Matterley Basin, Great Britain!
