Benoit Paturel of the De Baets MX team finished inside of the top ten at round eleven of the world championship MXGP in Lombok, Indonesia. With a 9-10 moto score he finished in ninth position overall.
Paturel was struggling to find his rhythm on the man made circuit on Saturday. Despite many attempts he wasn’t able to put a decent lap together in time practice and ended the session in 13th position. In the qualifying heat it went much better with Paturel and he managed to qualify himself in ninth place and scored two points.
He was motivated to do well in the first moto. He took a good start and was riding in sixth position in the beginning of the race. During the race he lost two positions but after that he was riding consistent and held on to eighth position till the closing stages of the race. Unfortunately he lost another position and finished the race in ninth place.
In the second moto he took a less good and was outside the top ten. In the beginning of the race he worked himself up into tenth position. Paturel was riding a consistent race again and held on to this position till the checkered flag waved.
With a 9-10 in the motos he finished in ninth position overall. After eleven rounds he sits in twelfth position in the championship. In two weeks from now the series continues in Loket, Czech Republic.
