Quad Lock Honda Poised for a Strong Return After Mid-Season Reset!

The first half of the season has been a test of resilience for Quad Lock Honda. The team has delivered strong performances, securing multiple top-ten finishes in the premier class, but racing’s highs and lows have kept them just shy of their ultimate goals. Now, with nine rounds behind them and a valuable mid-season reset, the team is ready to elevate their performance and push harder than ever.

Team Principal Martin Davalos reflects on the journey so far:
“We’ve shown flashes of brilliance, battled against the world’s best, and achieved multiple heat race top threes. But the truth is, we haven’t met our full potential. We know where we should be, and we’re not there yet. The break has given us time to regroup, refocus, and come back stronger. Shane has taken full advantage of this time, and I believe we’re about to see the best version of him yet.”

McElrath, who delivered a season-best 10th-place finish in Round 9 and now sits 11th in the championship, is setting clear expectations for himself in the second half of the season:

“The first half was about finding my rhythm, getting comfortable, and building race pace. Now, it’s time to execute. I belong inside the top 10 every weekend, and I need to be knocking on the door of the top seven. We’ve put in the work—now it’s time to prove it.”

While Savatgy has demonstrated incredible speed and endurance this season, he will remain sidelined following his crash in Indianapolis for at least one more round as he continues his recovery.

In the 250 class, Carson Mumford has shown flashes of brilliance, but eliminating mistakes remains the key to unlocking his full potential. Davalos is confident in Mumford’s ability to rise to the challenge:

“Carson’s raw speed is undeniable—he has the talent to run with the best. But in this field, even the smallest mistakes cost you positions. If he can dial in his consistency, he’ll be a real threat.”

This past round, the team proudly supported St. Jude with a special
“cartoon” graphic strip, symbolizing resilience, hope, and the power of perseverance—values that perfectly align with their mindset moving forward.

“Racing isn’t always perfect, but how you respond to setbacks defines you. It’s what separates the good from the great. We know the season hasn’t been flawless, but we refuse to back down. As long as we keep showing up, learning, and pushing forward, we will continue to improve. That’s what makes champions.”Davalos
