The Firepower Honda Racing Team, leading the World Supercross Teams Championship, has announced an exciting new partnership with Berry Sweet, one of Australia’s top berry producers. Based in Western Australia, Berry Sweet was established in the 1990s and supplies fresh berries to fruit shops and major supermarkets nationwide. The company also produces berries for other renowned brands.
Owners Anthony and Lee-Anne Yewers have long supported motorsport, with Anthony, a former Australian ATV champion, sharing a deep appreciation for the dedication and effort riders put into their craft. The Yewers family is thrilled to align with Fire Power Honda – Honda Racing Australia for this weekend’s highly anticipated World Supercross event in Western Australia.
“I’ve watched Yarrive and his team achieve incredible things. We did something small with him at Manjimup this year, and the way we were treated was exceptional. When this opportunity arose, we jumped at it. We’re also incredibly grateful that World Supercross chose Western Australia for rounds 2 and 3. Western Australia often misses out, so it’s fantastic to have the world’s best riders here this weekend,” said Anthony Yewers.
The Firepower Honda team had a strong start to the championship, leading the Teams’ Championship and the SX2 Championship with Shane McElrath while Joey Savatgy sits third in the SX1 standings.
Dean Wilson, however, experienced one of the most challenging results of his career in round 1 and is eager to bounce back this weekend.
“First off, I’m stoked to have Berry Sweet on board this weekend. They’ve personally supported me this year—a Western Australian company backing a guy from Scotland racing worldwide. Ant and Lee-Anne are amazing, and we’re lucky to have people like them in our sport.
As for this weekend, I need to turn things around. I’m a top-five guy and should be fighting for podiums. I’m looking forward to giving it my all in front of the fans, and I need to make it count. Plus, the team needs me in the championship fight. Yarrive has joked it’s a long bus ride back to Melbourne if I don’t pull my weight!” said Wilson.
Cole Thompson, fresh off a podium finish in round 1, is also determined to improve.
“Getting third was great, but the goal is to go 1-2 with my teammate this weekend. Let’s see what we can do,” said Thompson.
Hometown Hero Joins the roster, Kyle Webster, a Western Australian native, will compete as a wildcard in the 450 class on his Boost Mobile Honda. Webster’s season has been one for the history books, with his first 450 MX Championship victory and a key role in Australia’s first-ever Motocross of Nations win.
“What a year it’s been! To now race in front of my family, friends, and fellow Western Australians at a World Supercross event—it’s something I didn’t think I’d get to do. My goal is to finish inside the top 10 against the best in the world,” said Webster.
A partnership that feels like family, Team Director Yarrive Konsky expressed pride in representing Berry Sweet and gratitude for their continued support of the sport.
