JM Racing Honda’s Brent van Doninck finished second in the ADAC Masters in Tensfeld. Van Doninck managed to finish third twice and fourth once in the motos and this earned him a second place in the overall classification.
Brent saw this race as a test to see if he is ready to go into the bigger races. In Tensfeld, several MXGP riders were there to race, making it a good showdown.
Van Doninck started the weekend convincingly by setting the second fastest time in his group in time practice.
In the motos, Brent’s starts weren’t very good. In addition, he was also a bit careful putting his leg down in the first corner. Despite this, he completed three strong motos, finishing third twice and fourth once. This earned him a second place in the general classification.
With this second place, van Doninck feels ready to race in the Grand Prix in the Czech Republic next weekend. From here he will continue to build step by step to climb back up to his old level.
