The motocross season is not finished yet, and another season is coming soon as the French Beach series will kick off in two weeks at Berck. As usual team Honda Motoblouz SR will be involved in this championship, with four riders including Jeremy Hauquier, a newcomer who join Lars Van Berkel, Cyril Genot and Mathilde Denis.
With the numbers 2,3 and 4 on their bikes, Lars, Cyril and Jeremy have only one goal: to catch the number 1 plate after the seventh and last round of the series at Le Touquet in February. By lining up again Lars Van Berkel and Cyril Genot the team put all chances on his side as both have now a strong experience of the French races and a great cooperation with the team. They are this year working with a new team mate, as Jeremy Hauquier join the team after several promising seasons as a privateer. Our three men will have a girl next to them, as Mathilde Denis continues with the team and will defend her Women title.
Josse Sallefranque: “The first round of the sand season is close, and I am happy to have a great team with Cyril, Lars and Jeremy. We managed to find solutions with our partners to line up this riders, without forgetting Mathilde who will defend the title acquired last year. Everything is ready for this season which begins this weekend with a preparation race in Loon, before the first event in Berck on October 7 and 8.”
Cyril Genot: “I was back training with the team two weeks ago, we are starting to get our bearings for the coming season. I approach this one with one more year of experience; I would no longer have to discover the tracks apart from Berck where I never raced, but I like the format of this event quite well. We worked very hard, did a lot of development, the team is behind me and we are working to win with the aim of being at the forefront from the opening round of the championship.”
Lars Van Berkel: “After traveling a lot this year to compete in motocross events, I am back on the sand, my specialty. I am very happy to continue with team Honda Motoblouz SR, and I have prepared myself well, whether physically alongside Joel Roelants or mentally by competing in a lot of motocross races. This preparation should allow me to be competitive from the first events, and I am impatient to start the season.”
Jeremy Hauquier: “A new stage in my career with this arrival at the Honda Motoblouz SR team, after having evolved until now in a family structure. I felt I was at the maximum of what I could do in these conditions, and joining a team like Honda SR will allow me to evolve, whether in training with my teammates or in the race. I felt comfortable from the start and the bike suits me well, which promises a good season.”
Mathilde Denis: “I’m feeling pretty good two weeks before the season opens, I was able to resume training a few weeks ago after being affected by a virus during the motocross season. Very happy to resume the sand season, with no less than seven events at the program.”
Christophe Meyer (coach): « Here we go again for a new season, we start training at the beginning of September in Loon with Cyril, Lars, Mathilde and a new kid who has just joined the team, Jeremy Hauquier. We have a nice trio of riders, Jeremy has recovered well from his injury, Lars is coming off a good motocross season and Cyril has also done some motocross to prepare the season. We really work as a team as for me it is the key to success; Cyril and Lars are experienced, they know each other well, and Jeremy integrates as the days go by. Last year Cyril discovered the circuits, this year he will be in a strong position, whether mentally or physically. »
