Camden McLellan and Delvintor Alfarizi of JM Honda Racing both finished inside of the top 15 at round 11 of the world championship MX2 in Lombok, Indonesia. McLellan finished thirteenth overall with a 11-13 in the motos while Alfarizi ended up in fifteenth with a 16-15 in the motos.
The weekend started not that well for Alfarizi because he made a crash in the free practice session. Luckily he didn’t injured himself and was able to continue. Before time practice the team changed some things on the set up of the bike and this felt better. The qualifying heat started with a set back for both Alfarizi and McLellan. Both riders ran into the gate and had to come back from the back of the field. McLellan was struggling to find the right rhythm and had to be satisfied with thirteenth position while Alfarizi was following the group in the first ten minutes. After that he lost his rhythm a bit but he regroup himself and finally finished the race in fifteenth place.
Things were going better for McLellan on Sunday. He managed to finish in 11th and 13th position in the motos. In the second moto he also made a small crash which cost him some important time. With these results he ended up in thirteenth position overall.
Alfarizi was riding around fifteenth position in both motos. He was following the group for around ten to fifteen minutes and finished in 16th and 15th position in the motos. He is still missing some intensity and fitness but he will work on this in the coming weeks.
In two weeks from now the series continues in Loket, Czech Republic.
